Projects
Visual Chronicles: Reimagining the Annals of Joseon Dynasty
This project was exhibited at '1883: A Journey Through Archives' from December 6, 2023, to January 27, 2024. It visualizes historical records of Joseon Dynasty's ruling class based on major historical sources such as the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty, Gyeongguk Daejeon, and Mungwa Bangmok. I was responsible for all aspects of the project, from website planning to data collection, processing, and visualization.
Virtual Philosopher
This project is an expansion of an inspiration drawn from a project planned by Professor Dongwoo Kim of KAIST DHCSS (School of Digital Humanities and Computational Social Sciences). It started with the idea of combining the works of Zhuxi, David Hume, and Voltaire with RAG technology to enable conversations with these philosophers. These philosophers were selected because their works were relatively well-digitized compared to others. The project requires ID and password for access. I handled website development, data collection, processing, and visualization, while Professor Kim was responsible for project planning. Javier Cha provided various valuable insights.
Woojeong Historical Information Database
This site was created as part of a project overseen by Professor Donghyeon Woo of KAIST DHCSS (School of Digital Humanities and Computational Social Sciences). It was designed to enhance the utilization of historical materials provided by Booyoung Group. I oversaw all website-related work and was responsible for data collection, processing, and visualization.
